As a child, authors like Juan Rulfo and Mario Benedetti were my refuge in solitude, laying the groundwork for the types of stories I seek to tell. After leaving Mexico to settle in Texas, my narrative transformed into an exploration of identity fragmented by migration and the ghost of belonging. That sense of alienation, of not fitting in, and of always feeling like an outsider.
To me, technique must be the translation of the script's emotional wounds. I do not seek merely to light a scene or capture a "pretty shot," but to reveal what silence and characters hide. I use shadow as a narrative barrier and wide-angle distortion to materialize the psychic instability of my characters; where words fall silent, composition must speak.
Having completed my Associate’s Degree, my goal is to challenge my workflow in high demand environments. I seek to expand my potential by surrounding myself with people who share this urgency for storytelling, contributing my technical vision to an industry that demands as much commitment as it does sensitivity.
